Liturgy
The design of our Liturgy shirt follows the layout of a dictionary definition. Noun. Origin: From the Greek leitourgia combining leitos (people) + ergon (work).

1. The order of a worship service.
2. Literally, the work of the people.

Some people can have strong opinions about whether liturgy in church is a good thing or a bad thing. But according to this definition, every church service has a liturgy, an order of all the elements that make up our worship. The question isn't whether liturgy in general is a bad thing or a good thing, it's whether the liturgy we are using in particular is a good liturgy or not. 

Far too many worship services, whether traditional or contemporary, do not ask much of the parishioners attending. They become things we attend, observe, and passively take in as if they were any other kind of content designed for us to individually consume.

But the worship of the church is meant to be something we all participate in with all of who we are. We are not detached spectators who decide if we like it or not; we’re a kingdom of priests who are in the thick of the action. We’re not on the sideline as fans, we’re in the game as players. There’s no stage where the important things happen and an audience seating where people watch, there’s a temple where we’re being built in as living stones. 

About the shirt:
